Hello everyone.. Has been quite a while since I have managed to get to this blog. Life has a way of changing its' rythm, pace and intensity - just like a Yardbird solo - that one has to have all his wits about him in order to keep all of the complexities in an understandable and clear perspective in order to latch onto and hold the Joy and wonder of it all without letting go of its entirety.. Since I was last here, I have performed in many different settings and along the way I have managed to see and hear a lot of the people that are going to be spoken about and commented on while I share my personal observations and opinions. Next posting will be very soon. This is simply my way of letting you know that I have not forgotten about this space - I have just been doing what I do - making people happy. Hopefully this short entry has brought a smile to your face as well.. Happy 2006. I will return shortly...... Joy! michaeld

Hello Everyone...

This is the very first posting on my very own blog which was created just last night, and I am excited about having a new medium to express myself in as well as to offer up to others interested in Jazz music. "
Hello Everyone" seems to be a good beginning for me to use since I intend to bare a lot of my inner thoughts, viewpoints and attitudes about the multiplicity of Jazz musical things that Life and The Universe bring my way. I hope to create here an Open Forum where the "Everyone" I initially addressed will have an oportunity to be involved in an open forum of self -expression concerning what has happened, is happening and may happen with the music and scene we mutually care about, love and respect .
I am sure there will be lots of dialogue - both agreeable and "dis" coming our way. The most important thing is that it be honest, and the mind (s) behind the viewpoint expressed be respectfully open to other folks' ways of being and outlook.. Jazz has taken me around the world many times; allowed me to experience many different cultures and to meet and make many friends from all walks of life, and I do mean All..
As this scene develops, I hope to bring you closer to the musical choices I make in creating Jazz situations, not only for my symphonic and club performances, but for my everyday listening pleasure as well. I intend to get out in my community ( that means wherever I happen to be at any given time in the world..could be YOUR town or country... I DO occasionally get around ) and enjoy the Artists who weave the sound tapestries and offer up my viewpoint on what I have experienced through their Artistry. I hope you will let me know how you feel about what you read here and am anticipating your response.
There! I have officially opened my door and ushered you into my Bloghouse of JazzViews.. Oops..! Sorry... Excuse me, Please...NOW you can wipe your feet on my WELCOME mat..
